Replacement Ear

What are iPod earphones made out of? Can I use superglue on it? Can anyone suggest a replacement?

I’m talking about the standard ones in the box that come with your iPod or iPhone.
The superglue that I have cannot be used on polyethylene (polyethene) and polypropylene.
